Environmental Affairs Advisory Board Meeting/Deer Management

The Environmental Advisory Board (EAAB) is holding a meeting on March 8, 2012 at 6:30 pm at the Avon Lake Public Library. The EAAB is a volunteer board of residents and representatives of industries in the city, and was created by Avon Lake ordinances. Its members are appointed by City Council.

At this meeting, EAAB will be considering draft legislation proposing a deer management program, including an active measure of attempting to reduce the size of the herd through a limited bow hunting program. EAAB will not be making any decisions at this time or conducting any of its other regular business, but will only be listening to public comments on this issue.

Documents that EAAB will be considering can be found at the City of Avon Lake website announcing the meeting found at the link below.
