Five Things: Holy Trinity Carnival, Council Returns to Work, Beach Party

It's another jam-packed week!

  1. One of the most-anticipated events of Avon summers returns this week. The runs Thursday through Sunday, with all sorts of fun, food and entertainment.
  2. After a two-week summer break, returns with a work session at 7:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
  3. athletes better have set their alarm clocks Sunday night. Practice for many fall sports start Monday.
  4. Looking for a fun family activity? Take the kids on a on Saturday afternoon. The train ride takes you through the Children’s Nature Discovery Trail at Carlisle Reservation in Lagrange.
  5. If the beach scene is more your thing, check out the Saturday night at Huntington Reservation Beach in Bay Village. There will be activities, demonstrations, exhibits and, at 8:45 p.m., a screening of Free Willy.
