Time to start un-decking the halls.

The Christmas cookies have been eaten and the new year has been rung in.

Yep, the holidays are pretty much over.

In the coming days, many of us will be putting away our holiday decorations until December rolls around again.

If you have a real tree, getting rid of it may be even easier than disassembling a fake tree and storing it up in the attick.

Avon recycling coordinator said that residents can leave their tree, which must have decorations removed, beside the road and the will pick it up during their regular rounds. Residents are asked not to call the Streets Department to arrange a tree pick-up, Young said.
