It's Election Day...Get Informed and Get Out and Vote

Happy Election Day, Avon Lake!

If you haven’t already voted, we’ve got the information you need to make sure you cast an informed ballot today.

• If you’re still unsure where to vote, find your polling location as designated by the Ohio Secretary of State's Office and find your polling location.

• Now that you know where you vote, cast your ballot today between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and don’t forget to bring valid ID. This includes a driver's license or photo ID, military identification, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document from the last 12 months.

• Check back after the polls close to see our one-page roundup of who earned the voters nod to represent the city as the mayor and Ward 1 council person for the next four years and which three candidates will sit on the Avon Lake school board for 2012-16. (Note: Results are unofficial until certified by the Lorain County Board of Elections.
