Know a Veteran? Thank Him or Her Today

Have a photo of a vet? Post it in our gallery and tell them thank you.

As the country celebrates Veterans Day (technically Nov. 11) today, we're asking readers to upload photos of veterans and say, "thank you."

Pictured (the older, dog-eared photo) is Mario Ebanietti, Avon-Avon Lake Patch editor's father, who served during the Korean War. He is one of more than 42 million Americans who have served in some capacity since the country was founded.

Learwood Middle School again thanked Avon Lake veterans with their annual Veterans Day breakfast this morning. Look for the gallery tomorrow.

Not sure how to uplaod? It's easy, just click on the "upload photo" button and add your picture to the gallery, which includes some photos uploaded last year.

As an editor, I would like to thank those who served for protecting, and continuing to protect, our freedom of speech.
