Low Flying Helicopter In Avon Lake Is CEI Checking Transmission Lines
Hovering helicopter will be flying around Avon Lake for a few weeks.
For the next several weeks, residents in Avon Lake may see a low flying helicopter above telephone lines. The helicopter, pictured, may hover at any time for closer inspection.
Haverfield Co. will be performing helicopter inspections on all CEI (Cleveland Public Power) transmission lines, beginning Monday, Feb. 21. Inspections will continue for several weeks.
Councilwoman Jennifer Fenderbosch said the helicopter will be flying slowly (25-30 mph) along the lines.

City officials said the helicopter is white and blue with the registration number N371EE.
