Nagel Road Bridge Set to Close Oct. 3

Demolition and a complete reconstruction of the bridge will take 18 months.

It’s official. Following a slight delay caused by rainy weather, construction manager Don Damyanic has announced that the will close Monday, Oct. 3.

Damyanic has advised that motorists from surrounding communities should figure out how best to circumvent the bridge before tomorrow’s morning commute.

That means Nagel between Detroit Road and and I-90 will only be useable for local traffic, as there are no outlets (Avon Road remains closed at the Westlake border). And Nagel will be closed south of Chester.
