Obama’s Un-affordable Care Threatens Our Economic Well Being: Letter

The Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, promised to deliver lower cost  healthcare and assure coverage for those with pre-existing conditions.

Today, the reality is rising healthcare costs for Ohio’s families and businesses.

An NE Ohio small business owner told me today that his health insurance costs hare increased 60 percent. His employee with a family of five costs $1,900 per month!

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office’s reported that Obamacare “does not substantially diminish” the drain on the federal budget and in fact actually increases the national debt by $700 billion over the next 10 years.

To add insult to injury, not all Ohioans with pre-existing conditions can qualify for Obama’s high risk program. To qualify an individual must not have any health insurance for six months before they can apply, even if that person was previously insured under COBRA or an employer plan.

America cannot afford the Obama’s Un-affordable Care, higher, not lower costs, crushing debt and deficits threaten the economic well being of every American today and for decades to come. Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with common sense reforms that put individuals and healthcare providers in control of health care choices, not government bureaucrats and politicians.
