President Barack Obama made his most recent campaign stop in Cleveland this afternoon, greeting a crowd at Cleveland State University.
It took him only a few minutes to incorporate “Big Bird” into his speech, in response to GOP challenger Mitt Romney's Wednesday debate comments he would eliminate federal support to public television.
"Mitt Romney wants to let Wall Street run wild again, but he wants to bring the hammer down on Sesame Street," Obama told a cheering crowd. "Do you want me to save Big Bird?" The Plain Dealer reported following Obama’s 2 p.m. speech on No. 5.
Obama incorporated this morning’s job report citing a 7.8 percent unemployemnt rate, into his speech. It represents the lowest unemployment rate since Obama took office as president.
“He touted the jobless rate and attacked Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's economic plan,” WKBN reported.
The event marked the President’s fourth visit to the university, including a Feb. 28, 2008 nationally televised event debating Hillary Clinton.
The Toledo Blade is reporting a large crowd greeted Obama before his speech, waiting in the rain at an outdoor soccer field.
Romney is planning a stop in Cuyahoga Falls next week.
this comment is not acceptable!
I am asking because I really don't know and I know its a HUGE market!
I didn't borrow money from my parents when I got my degree or when I got my masters. I also didn't get government money. I worked to pay for school then was fortunate enough to have a high paying engineering job with a company that paid for my MBA. I don't owe anybody anything. Now I own and operate several small businesses and am happy to sign the front of checks to good people that work hard like I did. If you love PBS so much, go ahead and send them a check. Put your money where your mouth is, or just stop complaining.
For a sad display of humanity I sure sleep easy at night.
This was obvious in the debate.
Bottomline, Romney cannot be trusted to lead our GREAT NATION! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPgfzknYd20

Hope and change, baby... It's much harder to do once you have a record that can be reviewed... He also said in 2008 that if he didn't get the job done in four years, that it would be a one term deal... Well, he hasn't delivered, so time to let him keep his word... Romney/Ryan 2012
