As listed below, both family and individual pool pass prices increase after May 15, and require various proofs of residency and age.

Recreation director Gary Gerrone said that unlike in previous years, pool pass sales will not be available on-line.

“There are two main reasons for this,” Gerrone said. “Photos submitted on-line are not consistently usable and on-line sales of passes do not allow for the positive proof of residency or age.”

Gerrone said Avon Lake residents wishing to purchase a pass will be required to not only do so in person, but to have two definitive forms that confirm residency.

Acceptable forms for adults include one photo ID, plus at least one of the following: current utility bill, insurance card, current credit card bill, current car registration, current rental agreement, current pay stub, or passport.

A driver’s license as photo ID will only be used as a proof of residency if it has been renewed within the past year to prevent those who have recently moved from the city from improperly obtaining an Avon Lake pool pass.

Children will need to prove both residency, and age, and may do so through a birth certificate, most recent report card, an official and verifiable photo ID (not common, but often available through some schools and children’s programs), or current passport.  In order to fully process a pool pass, all individuals must be present at the time of issuance.

This year’s Family Pool Pass prices employ a new definition of family.  A family is considered no more than five individuals living at the same Avon Lake address.  This may include two adults and three children, or one adult and four children.  Additional family members at the same address may be added to a Family Pool Pass for an additional fee.

This year’s Pool Pass Fees are as follows:
