Pride Days Volunteers Win Prizes

Gift baskets, pizza and baseball tickets were among the booty

Doing good is supposed to be its own reward.

But a little swag is nothing to sneeze at.

People who volunteered for this weekend, doing clean-up and beautification projects around the city, were eligible to win prizes. The winners were drawn at Monday's City Council meeting.

Kris Marcum, one of the BMX bike riders who performed at the Pride Days festival on May 22, was the winner of the grand prize, use of the city's loge at for the June 15 game, along with a pizza party catered by .

Tony Barzacchini and Cory Rowland won gift baskets from in Avon Commons. Christina Eveanson, Diane Haller, Don Myers, Holly Cachet and Marc from Buds-N-Blooms won a large 0ne-item carry-out pizza from Coleone's.
