Sherrod Brown, Connie Schultz's Move to Cleveland from Avon Stirs Discussion

Couple will move to Mill Creek

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and his wife Connie Schultz announced last week that they will move from Avon to Cleveland, and many people have had a lot to say about it.

Schultz announced on her Facebook page July 19 that the couple is moving to Mill Creek in Cleveland and saw 138 comments to date. The Plain Dealer and The Chronicle-Telegram followed up July 22 with stories about the move.

Cleveland.com users speculated that Brown, a Mansfield native, made the move so that he can run for the city's mayor, but the filing deadline has already passed.

Others criticized the move as being overdue or just lobbed nasty comments. One Chronicle-Telegram reader went so far as to predict that property values would rise.
