Stormwater And Basement Backup Meetings Scheduled For November 16, 17

Meetings will discuss ways to prevent/lessen flooding

and the will hold two community meetings to discuss what the utility and the city are doing, and what residents can do, to avoid basement flooding.

This year’s intense rains have caused the storm water from private property to overload the sanitary sewer. The meetings will give residents the opportunity to discuss the issues with City and Utility leaders, and what each party is doing and can be done to respond to the changing weather patterns that have exacerbated the problem.

Two meetings are being offered to provide residents with the opportunity of attending on a convenient day and location (Nov. 16 at Learwood Gymnasium and Nov. 17 at Troy’s gymnasium, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
