Kids welcome to learn about turkeys through crafts and a hike.

What's new this week at the Avon Lake Public Library

Preschool Nature Kids - Turkeys

In partnership with Lorain County Metro Parks, preschoolers ages 3 and up with an adult, are invited to learn all about turkeys through crafts, activities and hiking. Meet in the Waugaman Gallery on Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. for this fun filled morning. Register by contacting the Metro Parks District Office at 800-LCM-PARK.

Medicare Open Enrollment

Do you need help understanding Medicare’s Open Enrollment? On Thursday, Nov. 15 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., a representative from Karsten Bradley Advice Solutions will talk about Medicare and Medicare Part D for 2013 and answer questions you may have. Woodland Walks

Do you enjoy a walk in the woods?  Join us every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Avon Lake Public Library trail head as we take a guided walk through Kopf Family Reservation with a naturalist from the Lorain County Metro Parks.
