Three File for Avon Local Schools Board of Education

Three are currently serving on Avon Board of Ed

Three candidates, all currently serving on the Avon Local School District School Board, have filed to run for re-election.

Heather R. Mahoney, Scott C. Radcliffe and John Weigman, all currently serving are the three lone candidates who filed by the Aug. 7 Lorain County Board of Elections deadline to run in the Nov. 5 General Election.

Mahoney was appointed in August 2011 to fill the seat vacated by Susan Harrison who was planning to move out of state. She successfully ran for election in Nov. 2011. Click here for her 2011 candidate profile.

Radcliffe is currently the board vice president. He was first elected in November 2009 for a four-year term. If re-elected, it will mark his second four-year term on the board.

Weigman was also elected in November of 2009 for his first term.

Avon board members Art Goforth and Kevin Romanchok were both elected to four-year terms in November 2011.
