Time Warner Channel Change Alert In Avon Lake

Two public access channel numbers change. WOW customers will get public access channels in the near future.

Time Warner Cable changed two of its Avon Lake public access channels, including the school district’s channel, on Jan. 17. This information was not included in the company’s most recent correspondence. The following applies to Time Warner Cable customers only:

  • Public Access Channel 99 is now Channel 97.
  • The Avon Lake School Channel has moved from Channel 98 to Channel 95.
  • The programming will remain on Channel 12.
  • Lorain County Community College’s channel will remain on Channel 96.

Fran Fisher, Avon Lake’s Cable Access Manager said WOWcustomers will be able to access the above PEG (Public Education Government) channels in the near future.

“The channel numbers will be different than Time Warner so in the future we will refer to Public and Government Access rather than by station number,” Fisher said.
