Two area car dealerships are looking to expand into Avon.
Joe Firment Chevrolet and Joyce Buick have both submitted site plans to Avon's Planning Commission for a subdivided piece of land in the 38000 block of Chester Road, just east of and across the road from .
A special meeting of the will hold a public hearing on the submitted plans at 7:30 p.m. July 6 at .

The site was originally a single 10-acre lot. According to the Planning Commission, the lot is being subdivided into two lots, with a bit of land by the street on each lot being set aside for planned future widening of Chester Road.
The Joyce Chevrolet lot will be 6.1926 acres, and the Firment lot will be 3.1795 acres.
