Voter Registration Deadline is October 11

Lorain County Board of Elections encouraging people to register and vote

Want to have your say in November's election? Make sure you're registered to vote.

Early voting has started, but you have until Oct. 11 to register to vote.

Lorain County Board of Elections director Paul Adams said registration must be received by the time the office closes on Oct. 11. Office hours will be extended that one day, until 9 p.m., to help people get in and register.

You can download and print the voter registration forms at the Board of Elections website. You can also pick them up at or , or a Bureau of Motor Vehicles office, such as . 

Have registration questions? The Board of Elections has an FAQ page. Need to talk to a person? The office is open between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The phone number is 440-326-5900.

Adams wanted to remind voters in Avon and Avon Lake that some voting sites have changed.

Avon Lake voters who have voted at will now be voting at .

In Avon, some voters who have previously voted at will now be voting at the lodge.

Not sure where you should go to vote on Election Day? The Ohio Secretary of State's website has a page that allows you to find your polling place by your street address.

You can also vote early at the Board of Elections office, located at 1985 North Ridge Road East in Lorain. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
