Avon Middle School Olympics Bring the Fun
Annual event is a favorite tradition for students, teachers.
held its annual Olympics on Wednesday.
The tradition started seven years ago, when athletic director Scott Lanham went to principal Dr. Craig Koehler with the idea for an activity day for students near the end of the school year. As the two talked, the idea for making it an Olympics-style event took shape.
AMS Olympics are designed to be a fun day for students, Dr. Koehler said, and a break before the start of final exams.
