Does anyone know what portion of the $36 million school budget goes to busing? When I think of the school bus program I see one of the biggest wastes of school money in the city. I see the school buses stopping in front of each student's individual home, more like a taxi service than a school bus. Furthermore, no matter how close a student lives to the school it appears they still get a ride on the school bus. A couple extreme examples are the St Joseph School buses that pick up on lake road will stop at one home and drive just 3 homes down to pick up the next student. Sheffield Lake buses do the same. I get that certain children living further from the schools need a ride but this seems like another good idea that is out of hand and wasting money.

I think safety first - especially when it comes to a busy road like Lake Road. To conserve energy and added safety, I think the bus service should be reinstated for the High School. Neil
