Learn How To Start And Grow An Avon Lake Business For Free

The entrepreneurally inclined, including small business owners who want to grow their businesses, are welcome to Avon Lake’s next free business workshop, Simple Steps for Starting a Business workshop at the from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. on Feb. 23.

The Avon Lake Public Library with the Avon Lake Economic Development Advisory Board, in partnership with SCORE, a resource partner of the Small Business Administration, are hosting the QuickSTART “Simple Steps for starting your business” workshop.

“This is the second entrepreneur workshop with SCORE in Avon Lake,” Joe Archacki, chairman of the EDAB, said. “The first one last October was a huge success with the graduation of 14 entrepreneurs. We want to assist in the creation of new jobs for Avon Lake.”

Planning, marketing, finance and funding your business will be covered at the workshop.

Avon Lake’s library, which often serves as a location for community meetings, is an ideal location, director Mary Crehore said.

“We want to continue to expand our services and support to our local community,” Crehore said. “That’s what we’re here for.”
