Volley for the Cure Coming to Avon High

Volleyball event raises money to fight breast cancer

Avon students are taking to the gym to help beat breast cancer.

will start at 4 p.m. Tuesday at and run until 9 p.m. The volleyball tournament, part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,will help raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Volleyball isn't the only way the students and volunteers are raising funds. There will also be gift basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing, a serving game for fans, a bake sale and concessions.

Admission is $3, $1 if you're wearing this year's Volley for the Cure shirt.
