Young and Old Alike Hit the Pavement at the 11th Annual Eagle Run Charity 5K
Hundreds turned out for the popular 5K to support several local charities and the Avon City Schools.
After a little over a decade, this may just be the most successful year yet as over 700 men, women and children participated in the 11th Annual
The race was held at , and the course took runners from the ballfield, down Route 611 and back again.
The Eagle Run supports the Avon School Educational Endowment Fund (ASEEF) and local charities.

Luckily, skies just remained cloudy with no rain, so runners stayed dry and enjoyed pizza and refreshments on the home field.
Fred Kieser, this year's overall winner, cruised through the 3.1 mile track in 15:53.

“It's the first time we’ve tried it here at Crusher stadium, so it’s a whole new venue for us and it’s worked out really well … I’d just like to thank everyone who came out, participated and helped to support several local charities as well as the school district,” Superintendent Jim Reitenbach said.
The money raised in the charity run is still being tallied, but given the strong community involvement, organizers expect to collect around $25,000 or more.
