After Decommitting from Penn State Football, Douglas Signs With Michigan

Avon High star considered several options.

One day after graduate Ross Douglas he signed with the University of Michigan.

"I just felt like God spoke to me," Douglas told Josh Helmholdt of Rivals.com shortly after his commitment. "They offered me the first time. Then I decommitted from Penn State and they offered me a second time."

Things then moved quickly for Douglas.

In a July 24 report by TheWolverine.com, Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison made the second offer to the 5-foot-10 cornerback

Douglas was planning on visiting Notre Dame and Wisconsin this week.

Douglas told bleacherreport.com he went out to breakfast with his father to talk over the decision before accepting Michigan’s scholarship.

 Michigan ranks in the Top 5 of numerous pre-season college football polls.

Forget college sports politics. Michigan is an excellent SCHOOL. I hope he excels in everything. Congratulations, Ross.
