ALHS's Disbrow, Heine Make College Committments
Two Avon Lake High School seniors committed to college sports in a May 22 ceremony at the school.
Molly Disbrow a Shoregal basketball standout, committed to continuing her education and basketball career at Div. III Ohio Wesleyan University beginning in the 2013-14 academic year. The 5’10 Disbrow has played varsity for three years, including a sectional championship team.
In addition she has played on several AAU teams including Next Level, TNBA and SMAC. She is also a multi-year member of the Avon Lake High School track team. Off the court, Disbrow has been involved Avon Lake Hoops for Hunger, which has collected canned food items for Community Resource Service, which supports the needy in Avon and Avon Lake.
Chris Heine will continue his athletic and academic career at Div. III Muskingum College next fall. He will play soccer for the Fighting Muskies.
The senior forward had several standout games for the Shoremen, including tallying two goals against Avon in a 6-0 shutout.
