ALHS Booster Bash Tickets on Sale for Feb. 23 Event

One of the cities more growing popular traditions, the ALHS Booster Bash, is readying for Saturday, Feb. 23. Tickets are now on sale.

The 5th Annual ALHS Booster Bash will be held at The Irish Heritage Center (Ahern’s Banquet Center) from 7 p.m. - midnight.

The evening includes a silent auction, sideboards, light appetizers and a wine/beer cash bar. Attendees are welcome to bring their own favorite appetizers and table snacks are also welcome.

Avon Lake's own Crazy Chester will be performing.

The night features music, dancing, and supporting Avon Lake High School athletic programs through the ALHS Athletic Boosters, a non-profit organization founded in 1993 to support all ALHS athletic programs.

That includes clothing such as (warm ups, jackets and T-shirts), bags for equipment and gear; electronic equipment such as camcorders, timing clocks, DVD systems, video editing software, radar guns and scorebooks, Booster president Michael Ohm said.

"All told, as we celebrate our 20th year, we have donated close to $350,000," Ohm said. "We have also supported numerous physical improvements to the facilities and grounds over the years, such as fencing, the new concession stand at the stadium, an extension to the fitness trail, the tennis shed and most recently, the trophy cases installed between the gyms. If you visit the weight room at the high school, you’ll enjoy over $50,000 worth of equipment funded there by the Boosters.   

"Much of what we may replace over the years does get ‘recycled’ by getting re-directed to Learwood and Troy."
