Boys Cross Country Team Defends Preview Title

Shoregals take third at competitive race

The  Boys Cross Country team won the Southwestern Conference Preview meet on Saturday at Lorain County Community College Aug. 27.

The win marked the third year in row the Shoremen won the preview meet.

The win is a good omen for Avon Lake. The SWC generally fields very strong competition with several schools fielding state-ranked teams. Last year the Shoremen finished the year ranked 10th in Division I.  So, this is a solid start for the Avon Lake team.
