Crushers' Come-From-Behind Victory Evens Playoff Race

With five games to go this season, the Crushers (48-42) are now tied with the Traverse City Beach Bums for the final playoff spot in the Frontier League's Eastern Division.

The Lake Erie Crushers thrilled the crowd last night at when they scored three runs in the ninth inning to win 5-4 against the Washington Wild Things (39-51).

To start the ninth, Jereme Milons had a base hit and quickly scored on a one-out single from Andrew Davis.

With two outs and Davis on first base, Kellen Kulbacki belted a triple to left-center field to tie the game. 

Feeling the pressure, Wild Things pitcher Taylor Wulf (2-4) lost his control and threw a wild pitch that got by catcher Blake Ochoa, allowing Kulbacki to score.

Travis Risser (3-5) pitched a scoreless inning to end the ninth and put the game away. 

For the second game of the series, the Crushers will start right-hander Josh Roberts (9-6, 4.26). First pitch is at 7:05 p.m tonight at home.
