Crushers Lose to Rockford

Loss drops team to below .500

A five-run second inning by the Rockford RiverHawks put the visiting in a hole too deep to get out of Wednesday night, as the Crushers lost, 13-7.

The Crushers (2-3) gave up 13 hits and committed four errors.

Travis Risser (0-2) took the loss for the Crushers, giving up six runs on five hits in two innings. Andrew Davis led the Crushers with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI.

The Crushers and RiverHawks play again at 8:05 tonight before the Crushers head back to Avon for Friday's home opener against the Jolie Slammers at 7:05 p.m. at . A fireworks show follows the game.
