Jim Tressel Visits Jr. Shoremen Game

Former Ohio State Univeristy Football Coach Jim Tressel attended Saturday’s fifth and sixth-grade Jr. Shoremen GOLD football team’s home opener at  

Tressel was in town to watch a close friend's sons play this weekend. After the Jr. Shoremen football game in Avon, Coach Tressel headed to to watch a flag football game.

Tressel met with both teams before each game to provide some encouragement and took some time to meet fans and to pose for a few pictures.

Avon Lake Junior Shoremen Gold defeated Avon Purple 20-6.  Jack Summers scored two touchdowns to lead the Jr. Shoremen scoring.  Jake Sommers added an additional touchdown to seal the win.
