Nine Avon Soccer Players Sign Letters of Intent

Nine soccer players began a new chapter in their young lives Wednesday as they signed their national letters of intent to play soccer at colleges in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Their families, coaches and teammates attended the signing ceremony in the auditorium.

Here are the students who signed, and where they're going:

• Megan Garner, Central Michigan University.
• Holly Ohradzansky, University of Akron.
• Holly Kraus, Wheeling Jesuit University.
• Kaitlin Patterson, Edinboro University.
• Sydney Simpson, Ohio Dominican University.
• Hannah Winger, University of Findlay.
• Austin Saini, Bellarmine University.
• Ryan Poyle, University of Findlay.
• Ryan Repas, University of Findlay.

Football players will be signing their letters at a similar event sometime in the next month or two, said football coach Mike Elder on Wednesday.
