Avon Lake 56, Lorain Titans, 7

The Shoremen followed up last week’s bruising loss to Avon with a 56-7 shellacking of Lorain High School.

Lorain turned the ball over 5 times in the first half, and the game was effectively over with 9:15 left in the second quarter when Wyatt Ohm’s 18 yard TD run gave the Shoremen a 35-7 lead, according to Shoremenfootball.net. “Wyatt lead the Shoremen ground attack with 119 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while Winkel completed five of his eight passes for 158 yards and two TD’s.  Max Seipel caught two passes for 124 yards and a score.  Defensively, other than one 80 yard drive in the first quarter, Avon Lake completely stifled the Lorain offense.”
