Shoremen Basketball Teams Shine in a Tough Holiday Tournament

Boys JV and varsity teams both place third in tournament

Both the varsity and JV boys basketball teams dominated Avon, but fell to Lorain to take third in the Lorain County Holiday Classic Tournament on Dec. 27 and 28.

The varsity kicked off the tournament with a tough fought game against Lorain High School, falling 72-58.

The Shoremen moved on to beat Avon 54-47 to win the consolation game.

Avon Lake's Eric Stuczynski was named one of the All Tournament players for this year's Holiday Classic.

The JV also came in third winning the consolation game against Avon 37-19. Elyria varsity went on to win the tournament by defeating Lorain 61-50.
