State Football Finals Tickets On Sale Starting Monday Evening

Avon facing Trotwood-Madison for Division II title

Tickets for state football championship game will be on sale at the high school starting Monday evening, the high school athletic office announced Monday.

The Eagles play Trotwood-Madison at 7 p.m. Friday for the OHSAA Division II title at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon.

There is a community pep rally at 7 p.m. Thursday at Avon Stadium at . The public is invited to come and show their support for the Eagles.

Tickets for the game are assigned seats, so if you're going in a group, buy your tickets at one time so you can sit together. A student section will be designated for the game. Avon will be the home team for the game and will sit on the home side of the stadium.

Advance tickets are $8. They will be on sale at the high school from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday.

After noon Friday, tickets are only available at the gate and are $10. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. No passes are being accepted.

Parking is $5 at the stadium.

According to directions from Mapquest, Paul Brown Tiger Stadium is 72.06 miles from the intersection of Detroit Road and Center Road. The trip is estimated to take 1 hour, 22 minutes.

Two charter buses for high school students only have been booked. The cost is $20, and includes a game ticket and bus pass. The Spirit Buses leave the high school at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets for the Spirit Buses are being sold only during lunch times in the high school cafeteria. Students must turn in Emergency Medical Form and Permission Slip when buying their tickets.

The football team is leaving at 1 p.m. Friday from the middle school. The team buses will head north on Stoney Ridge Road to Detroit Road, turn east and travel down Detroit Road, where they will turn south on Lear Road to get to the Ohio Turnpike. The community is invited to line the route and show their support.
