Vic Beltz Gives Son a Cool Birthday Present

An 16th birthday is a special day.

Avon dad Vic Beltz went the extra mile to make it special for his son, Matthew.

Vic surprised his son by arranging to have him throw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians June 21 game against the Colorado Rockies at Progressive Field.

Matthew, Avon Patch's first , just thought they were going to the Indians game for his birthday. Then he got an inkling something was up.

"He did not know why we were walking onto the field," Vic said. "The Indians employees played along with it, and made it a great surprise."
