Over 5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's Disease today. That number is expected to triple by the year 2050. It is currently the sixth-leading cause of death in our country and cannot be prevented, cured, or even slowed down.
We have a vision: A world without Alzheimer's Disease.

The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's Disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

The Alzheimer's Association has many resources for the community to learn more about the impact of this disease. There are many support services for families and caregivers to assist them on their journey with their person. There are also professional education resources for those working day to day with people with memory loss. I will highlight many of these services and resources in upcoming posts.
