“Rocco from Fahrenheit in Tremont will be bringing his food truck out to the Market and he will be joined by our returning favorites - Sweet Melissa and Sweet Basil,” Stack said. “All three menus will be posted on (Summer Market’s) Facebook in the middle of the week.

Avon Lake baker, Diane Sikorski, of Humble Pie Bakery will bring handmade pies and homemade preserves. Sikorski is known for using all locally grown fruits.

Also new this year is French Hen Farm from Marysville, Ohio (near Columbus).

“Kristen and I visited them back in the spring for their semi-annual barn sale and they have antique and vintage items, recycled furniture, and repurposed vintage jewelry,” Stack said.

Also attending is Small Studio, a new shop in Westlake near Panera Bread.

“Their shop is so cute, full of eclectic and vintage finds,” Weeden said. “The other was Rose Vintage, the most adorable 1962 Garway Camper making a trip to Avon Lake all the way from Montana. It is a mobile shop full of  handpicked vintage clothing, house wares and accessories”

Weed and Stack travel extensively throughout the year looking for vendors. The list of vendors and other useful information is available on their facebook page.

The event serves a dual purpose.

The paid formed Girls Give Back this year, a not for profit organization that will hold events to raise money for those in need.

“All proceeds from the Summer Market will be given away randomly throughout the year,” Stack said.  “Our goal is to help those in need when they least expect it and in turn promote random acts of kindness.

“We tested out this giving earlier in the spring when Cameron Hosier, a 6th grader in Avon Lake was Kristen and I each have four daughters and by bringing them with us to make donations, we hope that they too will forever be encouraged to help those in need.”

The group will also “give back” to the park. They have been working with Gary Gerrone and Tom Lescher to find some current needs at the park and will be donating a dog station because of the overturned ordinance.

“We will also be donating a few new electrical outlets to help serve all the events taking place at the park,” Weeden said.

The Market has also benefitted The which also sits in Veterans Park, and donations to that building have exceeded $10,000. They will make another donation this year.
