Redemption Time: Buckeyes take on Badgers in the Shoe

Predictions of several big games around the country

Ohio State takes on Wisconsin in the Shoe, under the lights. Ohio State had a bye week last Saturday, giving them extra time to prepare and examine the game Wisconsin had against Michigan St. Wisconsin on the other hand is coming off of a stunning defeat against a tough Spartan team, the same Spartan team that Ohio State was unable to do anything on offense against. Wisconsin needs to move the ball on offense in order to win this game, and that’s about it. If they can score more than 20 points, I think Wisconsin can take the W For the Buckeyes to win they need to score points, and a lot of them. So far this season the best defense OSU’s offense has played is…its own offense. Bad penalties, a lack of chemistry, weak offensive line play, slow wide receivers, and a young quarterback. We saw hope in the last game vs Illinois, can they keep it rolling?

Prediction: Wisconsin 23 Ohio State 17. Picking with my brain, not my heart.

The over-rated Wolverines of That School up North goes up against Purdue. Michigan is coming off of a bye week after losing to Michigan St, a surprising loss to some people. Will Michigan bounce back? Or will they do what they have been doing the past few seasons, and begin their losing streak all the way into bowl season? Purdue’s defense has been surprisingly decent this season, while the offense has been hard to watch. If the defense can do what MSU did, and limit Denard’s ability to run, anything can happen.

UPSET Prediction: Purdue 27 Michigan 14

Michigan St faces Nebraska, in Nebraska, for what is sure to be a smashmouth game of College Football. Nebraska to many has been a disappointment, although they only have 1 loss. The 1 loss was to Wisconsin, and they were blown out in that game. The following week Nebraska was very close to being embarrassed again, this time by a struggling Ohio State team. Where does the team go from here? They simply have to get back to basic football, if they can get the ball rolling on offense they might be able to stabilize their season. Michigan st is on fire right now, after beating Ohio St, Michigan, and Wisconsin in back to back to back weeks, this might be one of the greatest seasons in Spartan history. But this week they need to shut down Nebraska as they have done to every team they played in October.

Prediction: Michigan St. 38 Nebraska 10

The last game I am looking at this week is Kansas St vs Oklahoma. Oklahoma was destined to play in the championship game, their season was in their own hands. Who would have thought that after blowing out Texas and Kansas, that the team to spoil their season was going to be Texas Tech? Now Oklahoma is angry, and when a team is angry there is usually one of two things that happens. 1. The team comes back with a vengeance and destroys the next team they face. 2. They are frustrated and make basic mistakes and their season spirals downwards from there. Kansas St on the other hand has been undefeated by virtue of an easy schedule, and winning close games. Kansas St’s notable wins come against Miami (FL), Texas Tech, and Baylor, winning these three games by a total of 12 points. Can their luck continue against the Sooners?

Prediction: Oklahoma 58 Kansas St 12
