ALHS Class of 2013 Grad Makes Kiwanis History

Jesensky will hold membership in the Avon Lake Kiwanis Club and the Circle K Club.

Avon Lake High School 2013 graduate Tyler Jasensky, made Avon Lake Kiwanis History July 25 when he was formally inducted as a member of the Kiwanis Club.

Jasensky was the 2012-13 Avon Lake High School Key Club president. Key Club is the high school branch of the Kiwanis International organization.

Jasensky, who will attend Wittenberg University this fall, is believed to be the youngest member ever inducted in the Avon Lake Kiwanis Club. He plans on holding a dual membership in college by joining the Wittenberg University Circle K Club, the college branch of Kiwanis.

Jasensky was responsible for organizing this year's inaugural Wounded Warrior 5k run in Avon Lake on May 25, which helped raise money for the organization that assists injured war veterans.

“Everyone cares when they first return, the celebrate, but after a week, a month…,” Jasensky said in May. "We want them to know we appreciate their service to this great thing we call the United States. We just want (veterans) to know we have their backs 24/7 and are so appreciative of them for serving our country.”
