Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival Provides Food, Fun and Friendly Atmosphere

The eighth annual festival brought people together like only duct tape can.

Many celebrated this father’s day weekend by bringing their families to the Heritage Duck Tape Festival at .

Those in attendance were treated to an appearance from Miss America 2011, Teresa Scanlan. Scanlan explained to the audience about her experiences as a teenager growing up, how duct tape influenced her and how it helped her to become comfortable with herself through such a unique crafting hobby.

There was something for everyone at this year’s festival. With dozens of vendors, rides, and games as well as duct tape influenced crafts and live entertainment, the weekend long festival provided hours of enjoyment for everybody.

And once you got your fill of duct tape, you could get your fill of an amazing variety of fair food. Some of the treats we saw were chicken paprikash, lo mein, gyros, chicken on a stick, sausage and meatball grinders, waffle ice cream sandwiches, fudge, chocolate-dipped strawberries, shaved ice, fresh-squeezed lemonade, corn dogs, fried perch sandwiches, buckets of french fries, po' boys and funnel cakes.

Check out our photo gallery of the fun. If you have your own photos from the festival, share them here!
