Switaj said the event helps beef up the Avon Lake Kiwanis college scholarship fund which benefits Avon Lake students.

“We usually serve more than 1,200 people,” Switaj added. “It’s all-you-can-eat pancakes in a fun atmosphere. There’s no good reason not to come.”

The Kiwanians comprise the city’s largest service organizations. All-volunteer members make the pancakes and sausages fresh, serve them and clean up, with the help of the Avon Lake High School Key Club.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door for adults and $2 for children 5 to 12 years of age. Youngsters under 5 years of age are admitted free of charge.

The event includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, coffee, juice/milk and sausages. Contact Switaj at 440-242-9886 for pre-sale tickets.
