Kiwanis Semi-Annual Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, Sept. 29, 7:30 a.m. at Avon Lake High School. The Kiwanis will be holding its bi-annual pancake breakfast to raise funds for scholarships. Sausage, juice and unlimited pancakes. Meet your neighbors for this popular event. 


House Concert for Lucy Wainwright Roche

Wednesday, Sept. 25 6 p.m. House concert in Avon featuring NYC-based singer-songwriter Lucy Wainwright Roche. Lucy comes from a very talented family of singer-songwriters, including dad Loudon Wainwright III, mom Suzzy Roche, and siblings Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright.  Lucy has a beautiful, pure voice, and an endearing stage presence. This is a great opportunity to hear an up-and-coming talent right here in our community. Join us at 6 p.m. for some light food and drinks.  Show will start at 7 p.m. and end no later than 9 p.m. $20 suggested donation - all proceeds go to the artist. Lakewood Wine and Beer Festival
Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at  14701 Detroit Avenue. Behind World of Beer in the two-story, open air parking garage.  The Downtown Lakewood Business Alliance presents The Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival, sponsored by World of Beer Lakewood. Enjoy this urban, two-level outdoor festival in the heart of Downtown Lakewood (rain or shine) in the open air parking garage behind World of Beer and Panera Bread. Sample wines, craft beers, food from nine downtown Lakewood restaurants, The University of Akron Wine & Beer School and live music by Erica Blinn and the Handsome Machine and Thor Platter. Pet Blessing At St. Raphael
