Seems like the owner George is spending his time and efforts in the Greek place in front of Giant Eagle. I have never had such a poor sandwich as my last visit, open faced rubin, you could not cut the bread on the bottom with a steak knife! Over 25 slices of hot peppers made it un-eatable. Fries were cold. I asked to see the manager, he never showed up. Finally in disgust went up to pay a bill I should not have had to pay for (could not even eat the food) and low and behold there was a young person with a very scruffy beard, who he said WAS the manager. He was well aware of our issues, made no effort to apologise, just shuffled his feet and did nothing. Took the money, offered no apology, just a tree stump. Only bright spot was the waitress, she was nice. I will never set foot in the place again, when the food is that bad and the management is worse, would you?
Its ashame, it used to be a good place......

Athena's is the best value in town! Good food, nice place, friendly servers. Always a good meal, generous portions and tastey. Nice selection, something for everyone. It's like eating with family!
We ate at Athena's today, and it was wonderful. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicous with generous portions. I'll definitely return!
This is the only place you can go for real home cooked food! Everyone talks about what great all-day breakfast they have so i was really surprised that they have fresh, home made meals made daily. I figured they were like every other restaurant. I had their freshly flown in Barramundi fish and it was served with sweet potato fries; out of this world! Now i go back at least twice a week - my kids love it and so do my friends.
I went to Athena's for breakfast, just stopping in while running errands. I was totally amazed by how wonderful and large my omelette was. Seeing how this appeared to be a mom n pop shop, I figured mediocre food at best, boy was I wrong. My server was very friendly and he was very knowledgeable of the menu items, the manager was sweet, and even the busser was showing team work by walking by and clearing my plate. My waiter was busy at the time. I had the Crazy Omelette with deep fried homefries...AWESOME!!!!! I went back for dinner on friday and my waitress was great, and my perch dinner was great...genuine lake erie perch...must go here and try...especially the breakfast and fish on fridays...
