Tucky's fourth location opened in September 2010 in Avon Lake and is located in the Learwood Square plaza. More than just a hot dog, Tucky's was voted best cheap eats by Cleveland Magazine in 2010. The draw at Tucky's are the five signature hot dogs named after US cities. Eat all five of the division dogs in five minutes or less and earn a Division Dog Challenge T-shirt, $15 in Tucky's Bucks and have your photo placed on the new Avon Lake Wall of Fame. On offer are unusual hot dog toppings such as perogies, sauerkraut, Amish coleslaw, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos and Tucky's sauces. Create the perfect combination at the condiment station using diifferent kinds of mustards, steak sauces, ketchup and mayo. Complete your hot dog, burger, chicken sandwich, fries or sweet potato fries with more than a dozen blended seasonings and turn them into fine works of art. Handmade custard milkshakes are offered at this location as well as original deserts from a local baker; don't miss the extreme brownie or fresh berry trifle.

I had never been to this location but its unfortunate that the whole chain had to close. It is however nobody's fault but the ownership. They had three locations, one in Downtown Cleveland, one in Parma, and one in Mayfield Village. The Downtown Cleveland location closed at 4pm everyday and they refused to extend their hours even though the store was located in a vastly growing area and could have well supported themselves from all the new residents. They decided to remove their Parma location thus cutting off the entire west side. They placed their new location in a terrible place for a locally owned business known as Avon Lake. Although one could still get a hotdog if they lived on the east side or lived and worked Downtown, Tucky's decided it was a good idea to close these two locations in the winter forcing anybody who wanted a hot dog to make the long journey to Avon Lake. Because apparently nobody eats hot dogs in the winter. Great hot dogs, acceptable fries, bad leadership.

Completely unsatisfying experience, from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere. Went once and that was enough, unfortunately. Avon Lake really needs better places, but this isn't it.

I admit I only went once and was so unsatisfied that I never went back. The day I went they were out of burgers so I got the meatball sub. The sub was good but all the food is so overpriced. The service is really slow. And it still looks like a coffee shop on the inside and not a fun hot dog place. They really, really need to change the decor and give it a whole new look. This place should be hopping with all the local high school students and families but you only ever see people in the parking lot on classic car night.

expensive, slow service, almost always devoid of customers, atmosphere of a funeral home! We went once, and were so put off, we won't revisit. Can't be long before they are gone.
