Even though the summer is going by quickly there is still time for residents of Avon Lake to send in photo’s with AL the alligator on vacation. The city of Avon Lake is again asking for people to take AL on vacation or on any outdoor visit and snap a photo with AL and something related to the importance of keeping the city’s waters clean. “AL has started traveling the world but the contest is not limited to areas outside of Ohio or even Avon Lake,” City Engineer Joe Reitz said. Ideas would be by a waterfall or a beach or anything related to storm water. Reitz has become a regional spokesperson for keeping waterways and Lake Erie clean and encouraging residents and businesses to utilize practices that prevent polluting waterways. Those …
