Municipal Pool Will Go to the Dogs Sept. 10
Traditional end of swim is a dog party hosted by Love-A-Stray
For the sixth year in a row, Avon Lake’s municipal pool will end its season with a big splash. Love-A-Stray’s annual "Big Splash" dog party, which marks the closing of the city pool, is Saturday, Sept. 10 from noon-5 p.m at the Ellen Trivonich Aquatic Center in Bleser Park. Proceeds from the event will benefit Love-A-Stray, a no-kill animal service for strays. All dogs are invited, regardless of their ability to swim. There are plenty of activities, trophies, prizes and food. Cost is $8 at the door for one person with one dog or $10 for a family (more than one person and/or one dog.)
