The boy who raised more than $600 in funds to buy protective equipment for Avon Lake Police Department’s K-9, Ady, is again hoping to help our four-legged friend, this time those affected by SuperStorm Sandy. Cameron Hoosier, the boy behind the effort, is now he is looking for items for animals affected in the remnants of Hurricane Sandy. “We were watching CNN and a cat was being returned to its family,” Cameron said. “We found online that the Jersey Shore didn’t have power and needed blankets and the SPCA needed food and cat litter to take to families for families hit by the storm.” They found the Jersey Shore Animal Center was in need.
