Lloyd F. Loux Jr. of Avon Lake: Obituary

Lloyd F. Loux Jr. of Avon Lake passed away on May 16, 2013. He was born on April 4, 1929. He was a preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Patricia (nee Lawson). He is survived by son Allan (Catherine), Granddaughter Sarah and son Stephen (Deborah), grandson Barret and granddaughter Kelsey and loving partner of Marilyn Psiakis. Lloyd was a graduate of Case Western Reserve Law School and worked at National City Bank for 35 years, finishing as Senior Vice President in the legal department.He was a consultant at Baker Hostetler law firm for 10 years. ALHS Class of 1983 graduate, leaves behind wife, daughter and other family.

Mark A. Delili, 48, of Avon Lake passed away from a sudden illness on Thursday, May 2, 2013. He was born March 21, 1965, to his parents, Charles and Carol Delili in Massillon, Ohio. The family relocated to Avon Lake where Mark was raised and graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1983. Mark worked as an assembler for the Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake for 21 years and was a member of UAW Local 2000. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle, adding to various collections, listening to good music and spending quality time with his family. He especially loved vacationing with them in Florida. Marcia Anne Kalo (nee Baughman) 66, of Diamondhead, Mississippi passed away on April 27, 2013. She was born on Feb. 23, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Glenn and Shirley Baughman. She was a resident of Avon Lake and an employee of BF Goodrich Corporation for 25 years. Marcia was an active member and deacon of the Presbyterian Church in Avon Lake. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as gardening, golfing and traveling. Eskel Kitchen Jr., 73, of Avon Lake passed away on April 25, 2013. He was born on Sept. 28, 1939. Eskel was the beloved husband of Betty; loving father of Charles Kitchen and Julie Milkie (Todd); dedicated grandfather of Jacob and Kyle Milkie, Colleen Stanton and Lauren Restrepo; Mary Stanton mother of Colleen and Lauren; loyal brother of Margie Craft, Max Kitchen and Susan McGlothen. He was preceded in death by brother Jackie Kitchen and parents. Visitation will be on Monday, April 29 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake. Norma Martha Linden Forthofer, Owned Avon Gun and Tack Shop: Obituary

Devoted mother of six, nationally ranked trapshooting champion.

Norma Martha Linden Forthofer, born Feb. 22, 1925, passed away on April 1, 2013. She lived fully and passionately, perpetually radiating love, vitality, commitment and compassion to all she met, to all who were blessed to know her. Born to Delphine and William Linden, shw was lovingly raised in meager depression years with six sisters and two brothers and learned the richness and importance of family, religion and kind-heartedness. Norma was courted by a farm boy from the other side of town who rode his bike to East Avon to visit the most beautiful girl in town. As the story goes, the annoyed east side boys would regularly let the air out of his bike tires. Herbert C. Fleming passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of the Western Reserve in the loving care of his family on April 5, 2013. Herbert, of Sheffield Lake, was a warm, wonderful, funny and deeply beloved boyfriend, father, brother and friend have left many touched lives with a great void and profound sense of loss. He will be deeply missed by many.  Herb grew up in Parma and resided in Sheffield Lake for the past 40 years. He is a Vietnam Vet in the Marines, a member of Habitat of Humanity and retired paramedic firefighter.  He was the retired owner of Fleming Remodeling and the former president of the Sheffield Lake Kiwanis Club. Lynn Bolling of Avon Lake, Former Owner of Bolling Oven in Avon

Charter boat captain loved the outdoors.

Lynn H. Bolling, 70, of Avon Lake, passed away on Friday, March 29 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Cleveland in 1943, Bolling lived in Avon Lake for 30 years. He was a graduate of Bay High School and following graduation enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was the owner of Bolling Oven and Machine Co., Avon, for over 40 years retiring in 2005. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was also a charter boat captain of his boat the "Albe-What?", taking fishing charters on Lake Erie. George Edward Junke Sr.: Obituary

Built wooden models despite losing part of his right hand in an accident.

With little fanfare, an Avon Lake legend George Edward Junke Sr., 80, passed away on March 26 Fairview Hospital, and slipped away quietly in his sleep. All his children who could do so, visited with him before his death, and he was aware of their presence. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his stories. But he will be remembered, also, for his artistry and craftsmanship, especially considering the work accident in his youth which left him with only about a third of his right hand. The most important piece was there though: his thumb. And he, to his credit didn't let his disability keep him from doing anything his imagination could come up with. Ralph Joseph Matysiak, 88, of Avon, passed away on  March 16, 2013, at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.He was born Oct. 5, 1924 in Lorain. Ralph grew up in Brooklyn, New York and Lorain, but lived in Lorain for most of his life until moving to Avon in 1988, where he resided for 21 years. He spent the last four years at West Bay Nursing Facility in Westlake, where he made many friends that he considered extended family. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1942 and was drafted into the Army in 1943, where he attended the ASTP program at the University of Pennsylvania, he then was assigned to the 3093 Refrigeration Company, Butcher Platoon. Meredith Coleman, Former Pastor of Lake Shore United Methodist Church

Meredith was also the former president of the Avon Lake Rotary Club.

Meredith Dee Coleman, former pastor of Lake Shore United Methodist Church passed away on March 17, 2013 in Jefferson, Ohio. She was born on July 11, 1951. Meredith had a student appointment with Scioto & Harmony Methodist Church from 87-88 and was appointed the pastor of Lake Shore United Methodist Church in 1991, serving until 1997, when she was appointed to the Jefferson United Methodist Church, where she was serving when she passed away. She passed away the morning of March 17, after a short, but courageous battle against cancer. Always sensitive to fellow believers, "Pastor Meredith" finished her race on the birthday of her earthly father, the Rev. Parker West.
