ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION Enjoy a friendly book discussion at Lorain Public Library System’s Avon Branch Library. Tuesday, Feb 26 at 2:30 p.m., the group will be discussing Dreams of Joy by Lisa See. Dreams of Joy follows the journey of a mother following her runaway daughter through Shanghai. Set in the late 1950s, one of the most tragic episodes in China’s history threatens both of their lives. EXCEL FOR BEGINNERS Learn Microsoft Excel 2007 at Avon Branch Library Monday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program. Students will learn to set up a spreadsheet workbook, enter data and compose simple spreadsheet formulas. Some hands-on practice time will be available. Participants need to be comfortable using a mouse to attend.
