Everyone Loves A (Duct Tape) Parade

Thousands lined the parade route on Detroit Road for this year's Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival parade on June 15, and few were disappointed. Dozens of floats, most safari themed, rolled from Avon High School to Veterans Memorial Park where this year's festival was held. Floats from duct tape construction vehicles to lions, tigers and giraffes followed a life-sized duct-tape inspired elephant. Crusher's mascot showed up, as did a cotillion of miniature horses.
